WALKWAY REPAIRS AND REPLACEMENT
With over 100,000 visitors to the park per year, combined with the weathering effects of Mother Nature, the pergolas, patios, and walkways – at the historic Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford, Connecticut – are constantly in need of maintenance – and in some cases, replacement.
As an approved vendor with the State of Connecticut Department of Administrate Services, Savy & Sons was selected to undertake the replacement of a portion of the mansion’s patio and walkway. The area is a popular space for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings, so the work needed to be completed to a high-quality standard, and in a short time frame, as the summer is the busiest season for the property.
From consulting with park management to the sourcing of the materials, Savy & Sons worked to ensure that the new walkway was an identical replacement for the original. Once the stone was delivered, the Savy & Sons team completed the installation of the new walkway within five days, keeping to the project deadline.
